Millfields Community School Hackney held an ‘ARTS week’ lead and coordinated by Linda Culverwell.

The week was filled with creative workshops lead by parents of the school. The idea was to engage the children in all aspects of art.
Parents who were professional photographers, painters, illustrators, filmmakers, textile artist and ceramists came forward to run workshops giving an insight into their practice.
The week concluded with a breath-taking exhibition including every member of the schools work. We made a ‘Field for Millfields’ including a terracotta clay image made by each child and staff member resulting in 750 pieces.

The school held an auction to help raise money for the schools ‘Playground redevelopment project’ round £1000 was made!
